Heat pump water heaters are the most efficient choice. Since they cool the interior, placement should be careful to avoid cool air in the winter. Structured plumbing is important to reduce waste.

3. Are your faucets and shower heads water efficient?
Add aerators to faucets or replace with new <1.5gpm faucets. Replace shower heads with new <2.0gpm shower heads.
