Historic 1964 split-level home anticipated to be the first LEED home in Arlington Heights

HOME DESCRIPTION:
The Arlington Heights, Happy Boolo Project is a renovation of a typical 1964 split-level home that is anticipated to be the first LEED home of any kind in Arlington Heights as well as one of very few LEED Platinum remodels in all of Chicagoland. We are re-using and repurposing as much of the existing structure as possible in order to maintain the historic charm of our street while achieving our sustainability goals.

Originally inspired by our love for our Drury Lane neighborhood and our passion for growing, cooking, and baking our own food, we look forward to the renovated home serving as a gathering place for community and an inspiration for what’s possible in terms of highly functional and sustainable living. To those ends, our home will be Net Zero, will harvest rainwater and will feature extensive food production.
